1. Nature of Reiki

5. Self-Agency & Responsibility

Reiki is a complementary energetic practice that supports relaxation, grounding, emotional awareness, and self-connection. It is not a medical, psychological, or psychiatric treatment and does not diagnose, treat, or cure illnesses.

Reiki does not “fix” or heal on your behalf. It is a collaborative process that supports your own innate capacity for healing and self-regulation. Your presence, openness, and personal responsibility are an important part of the process.

2. Complementary, Not a Replacement

6. Emotional & Energetic Release

9. Online & Distance Reiki

Reiki should never replace medical care, therapy, or professional mental health support. If you are experiencing physical or mental health conditions, you are encouraged to continue working with qualified healthcare professionals alongside Reiki.

During or after a session, emotions, memories, or physical sensations may arise. This is a normal part of energetic work. You are always in control during the session and are free to pause, stop, or share anything that arises at any time.

For online sessions, Reiki is offered remotely and works energetically rather than physically. Distance Reiki is considered equally valid as in-person Reiki. Sessions take place in a quiet, safe space of your choosing.

3. How Reiki Works

7. Safety, Consent & Boundaries

10. Not a Substitute for Therapy or Emergency Care

Reiki works on an energetic and emotional level, supporting the body and nervous system in returning to balance. Many people experience calm, clarity, emotional release, or deeper self-understanding, while others notice more subtle or gradual shifts.

Reiki is offered only with your full consent. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Reiki does not involve the use of substances, altered states induced by drugs, or any form of coercion.

Reiki is not a substitute for therapy, medical treatment, or emergency care. It can support and complement other healing modalities but should not be relied upon as the sole form of support for serious physical or mental health conditions.

4. No Guaranteed Outcomes

8. Reiki Is Not a Belief System

Each Reiki session is unique, and outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Experiences vary from person to person and from session to session. Healing is not always linear, and effects may unfold over time rather than immediately.

You do not need to believe in Reiki for it to work. Reiki is experiential rather than ideological and does not require adherence to any spiritual or religious belief.
